A Welcome by the Circuit Superintendent Minister, Rev. Graham Ransom.
Welcome to our Website, do feel free to browse through the pages.
The Bede Methodist Circuit began in September 2011 as a coming together of two Methodist circuits: The Gateshead & Jarrow circuit and the South Shields circuit. After a good deal of discussion, decision making, prayer and planning. It consists of the area to the south of the River Tyne, from the A1 eastwards to the sea, south down to Washington, and also includes the village of Kibblesworth, which is to the west of the A1. Within this area, there are 21 churches, with 22 worshipping communities of all kinds. In addition, working in a redundant church, you will also find the Hardman centre, whose details you can also access from here. We are part of the Newcastle Methodist district, and you can go to their website through our links to the left of this. We are also part of the British Methodist connexion, and you can find their website on the links page. Most importantly of all, we are Christians, and believe that Jesus Christ, the son of God, lived and died to bring us into relationship with God through the Holy Spirit. This needs a response from us, a decision to let God be our own God, close and personal to us. Have you made that choice yourself? More information can be found at www.rejesus.co.uk The Church exists to: Increase awareness of God's presence and celebrate God's love Help people to grow and learn as Christians Be a good neighbour to people in need and challenge injustice Make more followers of Jesus Christ. | |||
